Kevin O’Brien lived alone in a remote part of Ireland, preferring to deal with the tragic, accidental, death of his wife, Mary, in his own way, in his own time. He had distanced himself from his brother-in-law, John, due to their different views surrounding Mary’s death.
However, when unexplainable events began to unfold, the O’Neill’s, John’s parents, dark secret unravelled, revealing a terrifying truth Mary’s death may not have been so accidental after all.
As more people succumb to horrific deaths in the area, Irish folklore becomes a reality.
This is a story of how your beliefs can be changed by what you see, hear, and feel, and sometimes what you don’t.
What if the stories are true?
Folklore eBook Chris Rush
This was such a good story. I loved how Chris painted the landscape so well, like "the rain punched me in the face".There are some grammar and spelling errors throughout.
It was real and sad. Loved it.

I really enjoyed Folklore by Chris Rush. I actually read his 2 first books out of order. I enjoyed his first book Folklore the best. Very descriptive author with some interesting info about Irish legends. This was real scary with the Chris Rush descriptions scattered not only throughout the book but on almost every page. Thanks Chris for the fun read. Best of luck with all your future projects!!
First book I've started and finished in years! Even managed to read it in a couple of days. Well done Chris reminded me of stories my dad used to tell me years ago.
Great read
Well recommended
As an American, I didn’t know much about the Irish Banshee but this book by new Irish author Chris Rush did not disappoint! Folklore tells the horrifying tale of an Irish family plagued by a centuries old legend, the consequences of seeing the spirit of the Banshee, and the bloody aftermath of her visit.
Rush writes in such a descriptive way, the reader is drawn into his scary world and gets caught up in the legend, the family, and the horrors they are forced to endure at the hands of the Banshee.
Our hearts break for the tragedies and loss that follow, we cower in fear of the thought of her presence, and we are left with the feeling … what if the stories are true?
Very impressive for a first book! Rush is off to a good start and I wish him all the best in his writing career!
